• Management of Case Managers and Support Staff, including Performance Reviews, and training.
• Administration and management of Provincial Disaster Assistance Directives (DAD) and the Federal Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements grant programs.
• Collaboration with internal and external Government of Alberta stakeholders (cross-ministry) during planning, preparedness, response, and recovery operations.
• Provide briefings to the executive and respond to Action Requests from the executive when required.
• Conduct and coordinate Early Damage Assessments post disasters and provide guidance and assistance in Community applications to the grant programs for recovery funding.

• Relationship building with municipalities during response and recovery operations including fostering stakeholder engagement (public and private sectors).
• Coaching and mentoring staff in recovery operations and systems.
• Provide case management to private and public sector submissions for disaster assistance within the framework of the Alberta Emergency Act and the Federal Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements.
• Required to report to Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre (PECC) during an activation and fill staffing roles that are required.
• Acting Team Lead when required.
• Employ continual improvement processes and report outcome measures through all stages of case management.

• Extensive experience in emergency operations and incident command.
• Risk reduction and harm reduction to vulnerable populations.
• Effective Communications.
• Employing analytical risk assessments to identify hazards impacting communities and customizing problem solving based on these identified risks.
• Formally trained in crisis communications and media relations.
• Relationship building with communities and fostering stakeholder engagement.
• Business continuity and consequence management for police and emergency operations.
• Formerly trained in trauma informed Aboriginal/Indigenous training.
• Formerly trained and certified in the Crime Free Multi-Housing and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design programs.
