Choreographed innovative and original choreography for a workshop series that embodied multimedia and mixed media art. An original contemporary dance duet portraying dynamics of a seemingly perfect fairytale relationship with a beneath the surface look into a toxic, misogynistic, co dependent and slightly erotic romp.
Designed a large 6ft by 6ft box with the accompanying art on the sides that dancers danced on, moved around and incorporated into the choreography. Designed and executed the mixed media art/murals that were mounted to the side of the box.
Choreographed and Danced in original choreography about searching for something....anything. The choreography portrayed a statue of a woman trying to break free of her stone and stagnant life. Wishing and fighting to break free from onlookers and her own image.
Designed and Constructed several statues moulded by my own body with starch/glue/gauze and metal riveting material. Statues were intentionally incomplete or missing body parts.
Choreographed and Danced contemporary dance in own creations for several festivals like Ffida and student showcases for York University. Most notable was "Voices from the Piilu" which was a spoken and dance performance piece with excerpts from Eve Ensler's "Vagina Monologues" and "Red and Blonde Roots" which is a vocal and contemporary dance piece.
Danced and collaborated with Tracey Norman for various events and festivals. Tracey's contemporary choreography is thought provoking, athletic and often has vocal or spoken elements.
