Retired Canadian Armed Forces Critical Care Flight Medical Technician with over 25 years' experience in interdisciplinary clinical medicine, mental health assessments and psychosocial rehabilitation within the CAF. Currently working at the Children's Treatment Centre Quinte Health as the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Community Worker. Daily work within an interdisciplinary team that strives to treat and advocate for those that are affected by FASD. Extremely experienced in initiating and maintaining international, national, and local community relationships to ensure excellent quality health services. Strong at relationship building and interested in the needs of the local community. Accustomed with the diverse range of programs that are offered to the local community and interested in becoming more diverse in skill sets. Over 10 years of volunteer experience with Local Girl Guides of Canada Units. Interested in seeking position as a psychotherapist or FASD consultant.

• Experienced in completing in depth screening/clinical interviews of patients/clients and family members to ensure top quality health, and identify, assess, and determine care and establish plan of action, with assessment tools.
• Experience with clinical and rehab care of soldiers with critical injuries, and on-going care plans, behaviour plans and aftercare of multiple health issues. Rehab care of aging veterans. Have most up to date treatment knowledge of FASD.
• Computer proficient; knowledge of Microsoft office, Canadian Forces Health Information System. Monitor Mass scheduling and Information Program, skype, facetime, google meet, zoom Veterans Affairs Programs, Hastings County programs, Quinte Heath programs.
• Able to use SMART goal setting techniques, as well as Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy PACE and didactic methods to assist clients and families with best ways of viewing each other and their surrounding world.
• Experience with Ontario Works and Disability programs and resources, such as housing, employment etc.
• Ability to review discuss, develop, implement and manage complex cases by reviewing behaviour and goal plans and empowering clients and family to meet their goals.
