Provide supervision and oversight of all Maintenance Supervisors and crews within the assigned area of responsibility.

Ensure that all department safety practices are in compliance with district, dept, state, and federal policies , procedures and guidelines.

Work in communication with the Maintenance Manager II to recommend equipment, material, personnel and budget needs.

Safety is the number One priority

• supervise, direct, train and assign crew members in maintenance operations on state highways and freeways
• provide tools, supplies, and training for crew
• respond to incidents during normal working hours as well as weekends, holidays, and after hours.
• responsible for maintaining monthly expenditures, timekeeping, employee records, and purchasing of materials and supplies.
• review safety manual, chapter 7 & 8 and code of safe practices
• perform trainings regarding traffic incident management, equipment, equipment qualifications, defensive driver, new employee, ladder safety, injury and illness prevention, etc.
