  • Worked as Chief Engineer to 2013. Duties included supervising a crew in the operation of the plant, scheduling courses and vacations, providing maintenance service requests, issuing safe work permits and developing procedures.
  • In 2013 worked with the Project Group in bringing the Turbo
  • Expander Project to the Rimbey Gas Plant. Duties included attending project planning meetings and PID reviews, developing a commissioning plan, attending Haz-ops and working with the construction group.
  • In 2015 worked to commission and start-up the Turbo Expander plant with the Project group. Continued to trouble shoot problems with the plant and develop Management of Change as needed. Assisted in plant Operations as needed.
  • In 2019 moved to the position of Operations Specialist. The position involved working closely with Engineering to address process problems.
  • In 2023 retired from the Rimbey Gas Plant.

  • Duties include operation of 5 power boilers and 4 steam turbine generators, operation of feedwater pumps, air compression and managing water treatment program
  • The ability to produce power to the grid was also added in the last few years
  • In 1996, moved into the position of Chief Operator Power House
  • In Nov of 2006, moved to the position of Senior Chief Process Operator
  • Duties include the supervision of all plant operations and systems
  • Additional duties include the operation of 3 refrigeration compressors, high pressure amine pumping, and the operation of 2 steam turbine driven gas recompressors
  • We have added a Superclaus sulfur recovery system, a Flexsorb amine system, a CO2 liquifaction system producing 250 tonnes of liquid CO2/day, an NGL de-ethanization system processing 800 m3 of trucked in NGL daily, a frac oil production facility, a condensate production facility, a flare system vapour recovery unit and 3 additional gas compressors since my employment began.
