I'm a responsible and reliable staff member who manages day-to-day duties, answering phones, fielding inquiries and responding to emails. Skilled at providing direct support in word processing, data entry and filing documents. I possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a capacity to multitask while meeting tight deadlines. I'm also a team player that works well in a group, or by myself, and have a true passion for helping others.
-incoming phone calls for "Requests for Sanctuary" (RFS).
-Pick up clients (If necessary) and complete intakes to get them settled into the house (This involves taking and entering their personal information as to what has happened to them, that they need our services. Doing bag checks, and going over rules and expectations of the house).
-Overseeing everyday operations within the house. Making sure everything is running smoothly. Running house errands :IE Food shopping. Cleaning and general upkeep of the house. Cooking if necessary.
-Maintaining house moral, making sure everyone is /feeling safe. Offering an ear to those who need emotional support (this is done without "counseling" them. As well as meeting any other emotional support they may require.
-Running Residents into town for appointments etc, as well as accompanying them to any appointments if they require it for moral support or safety reasons.
Helping them with Housing searches and filling out any paperwork they may need assistance with. Basically assisting them by connecting them to/with the proper resources to move forward in their situation.
-Helping to support our Indigenous communities in anyway we can with our outreach services.
-I'm also in charge of keeping track and compiling our monthly Statistics and sending them to BC Housing on the 1st of each month.
