Despite BSE, multiple market and regulatory challenges, COVID and a worldwide veterinary shortage, Central Veterinary Clinic has grown from a small, 3 veterinarian mixed animal practice into a recognized leader in the veterinary industry in Alberta. Managing partner, responsible for all financial, legal and regulatory aspects of the business, as well as oversight and management of HR and inventory pricing and control. Responsible for negotiating pricing and service contracts with large beef and dairy producers, as well as pricing contracts with large pharmaceutical companies.
Bovine Herd Veterinarian, responsible for development, implementation and oversight/analysis of both beef and dairy herd health management plans, reproduction protocols, vaccination protocols and Quality Assurance programs. Oversight of regulatory compliance for both beef and dairy herds, including Health Canada, CFIA, AbVMA, and Alberta Milk Board regulations, and both federal and provincial legislation.

On farm/clinical instruction of final year UCVM students in bovine production medicine, theriogenology, obstetrics, surgery, ultrasonography and production/clinic economics.
Researched, discussed and made recommendations on issues set before the committee by the AbVMA Council. Made suggestions and recommendations to council for future directions and legislation based on industry trends and issues. As chairperson (2018-2020), was responsible for chairing quarterly meetings of the advisory board as well as subcommittee meetings and other organizational obligations. Presented committee recommendations and reports to council. Participated in bi-annual Strategic Planning meetings with AbVMA council.
