Analyse and interpret test results and prepare detailed post-program reports based on assessments and targets of intervention

Provide expert advice for the development and revision of correctional plans considering the needs of offenders and the appropriate programs required to reduce risk

Liaise with other government and non-government agencies for them to deliver programs or components of programs
Assist offenders in the development of plans to put into practice the skills and values acquired through program interventions
Provide counselling to individuals and groups of inmates in the program environment
These sessions often involve the sharing of highly personal and sensitive matters that require the establishment of a trusting relationship
Supports, counsels, and makes appropriate referrals for effective interventions during times of personal crisis, which may be prompted by program interventions
These crises may occur frequently during a program and require an appropriate level of understanding and empathy
