  • Answering request for service from the public and outside agencies, confirm the location and type of emergency (e.g., type of fire, medical emergency, vehicle accident) to dispatch manpower and apparatuses required for the situation.
  • Evaluate emergency and administrative calls to determine type of response required (e.g., fire, police, and medical).
  • Operate a central computerized phone system console CAD (e.g., E-911 systems, two-way communications, other equivalent communication device) to interpret and relay emergency information.
  • Utilize multi-phone line communication system to transmit and receive routine and emergency calls.
  • You will use an automated system (e.g., Computer Aided Dispatch [CAD]) to input emergency and non-emergency response data for archive and immediate reference and stamping annotations.
  • Instruct callers with life saving instructions as needed and secondary instructions.
  • Conduct license and vehicle registrations checks for the safety and base order protocols.
