MSICU- 24 bed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients on vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips, requiring frequent titration. Competency with EKOS & CRRT devices. Frequently care for complicated critical patients with extensive cardiac histories, including recent cardiac arrest, heart failure, acute kidney injury, complicated respiratory failure, liver failure. Experience with procedural sedation, emergent intubation, and assistance with bedside procedures. Recovery of patients immediately post-procedure.

CVICU - 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Hemodynamic monitoring for immediate post-operative cardiovascular/thoracic surgical patients including CABG, Valve replacement & Repair, TAVR, Endarterectomies, revascularization surgery & repair, and patients require cardiac device management (IABP, Impella).Management of patients on vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips, requiring frequent titration. Competency with EKOS, IABP, Impella, and CRRT devices. Frequently care for complicated cardiac patients with extensive cardiac histories, including recent cardiac arrest, heart failure, valvular disease, and coronary artery disease. Experience with procedural sedation, emergent intubation, and assistance with bedside procedures. Recovery of patients immediately post-procedure.

6 North - 24 bed unit including the management of post cardiac catheterization patients with radial and femoral access and patients receiving temporary or permanent pacemaker placement.

CVPCU - 17-bed Progressive Care Unit. Care for post-operative patients from CVICU and Critical Care areas requiring close telemetry monitoring: cardiac surgery patients, thoracic surgery, TAVR, and other post-op cardiovascular/thoracic patients. Management of patients on antiarrthmic therapy, temporary and permanent pacemakers and emergency interventions alongside the frequent us of cardiac pharmacology agents. Frequent monitoring and management of chest tubes, epicardial pacing, sternal precautions, wound vacs and moderate sedation.

B4- 32 bed cardiac telemetry unit. Management of patients suffering from chronic illnesses frequently effceting their cardiac function such as: CHF, Type 2 Diabetes. COPD, IVDU, Alcoholism, HTN.

B5- 28 bed unit metabolic renal telemetry floor with skills in management of complex renal metabolic patients. Current passed Cardiac Rhythm Test status.

10 North - 24 bed thoracic surgery unit. Management of patients in a high acuity post-operative inpatient setting. Surgeries included: conventional whipples, pylorus-sparing whipples, lung decortications, wedge resections, lobectomy, larengectomy, partial glossectomy, radical nephrectomy and pericardial windows in a cardiac telemetry setting.

T1- 30 bed unit on a Trauma & General Surgery floor in addition to an Intermediate Care Unit. Caring for wide variety of post operative patients on an extremely busy general surgery floor. Experience with most general surgeries as well as gastric bypass (sleeve and Roux-En Y), newly established tracheostomy, TURP w/CBI, total colorectal diversion and J pouches, bilateral mastectomies, total abdominal hysterectomy, parathyroidectomy, amputations, skin flaps, partial and radical nephrectomy and total thyroidectomy.

• Intermediate Care Unit involves telemetry monitoring of patients on a 3:1 requiring higher acuity care. Common patients on this unit include insulin drips, active GI bleeds, newly initiated BiPap, ICU stepdown, ETOH withdrawel and anterior approached cervical laminectomy.
