Katelyn Gravelle

I am a very creative student and started Hillcrest Public School's first Art Club. It is a club for students Grades 3 and up. Students come in at recess and complete an art project that I have come up with. There are up to 30 children that participate each week. I am currently training other students to take it over next year so it can continue after I graduate.

I also take an active role in the community. I volunteer with the Petrolia's Lions club and assist in events such as Stuff the Bus, Easter in the Park, Lobsterfest etc. I also participate in the Petrolia Fair each year by entering many exhibits and have won Junior Fair Ambassador the past two years in a row.

I really enjoy working with children. I volunteer on my lunch hour as a Kindergarten class monitor and babysit outside of school. I also assist with younger dancers at my dance studio Elite Stars Dance Academy where I take Jazz and Ballet.

I work very hard on my school work and am on the honour roll.

I love books and reading.

I would really enjoy a part time job at the Petrolia Library!
