Took a planned career break following graduation as a Registered Nurse to relocate abroad due to my husband’s work commitments. During this period, I have:

• Maintained up-to-date nursing knowledge through self-directed learning, online CPD courses, and professional reading.
• Adapted to a new cultural environment, developing resilience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
• Prepared for re-entry into clinical practice with a continued commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

• Working in various wards and supporting healthcare staff whilst studying for my nursing degree, this supported my nursing education journey by allowing me to gain further knowledge and experience of various wards.
• Assisted with patient hygiene, physical comfort, eating, and drinking, and mobility while observing and reporting specific changes.
• Lifted patients using appropriate equipment in accordance with moving and handling policy.
• Reduced risk of infections by adhering to strict hygiene protocols during all aspects of care delivery.
• Observed patient skin conditions and reported findings to registered nurse.
• Cultivated strong relationships with patients and families, fostering an environment of trust and open communication that facilitated better healthcare experiences.

Selected for a competitive scheme • 60 healthcare students are selected each year amongst hundreds of applicants to undergo a project and extend their leadership skills.

• Participated in structured training on healthcare leadership, patient advocacy, and strategic decision-making.

• Engaged in workshops led by senior healthcare leaders, focusing on improving clinical practice and policy awareness.

• Developed skills in team collaboration, communication, and healthcare project management.
