
I am a recent graduate of the Indigenous Social Work Program offered on-line through Laurentian University. I have a background in Child and Youth Work, and have been working in the mental health field since 1998. As outlined in my resume, I have experience working with youth/adults in a variety of different Mental Health positions
Supporting people who are in crisis to return to non-crisis state
Work with people who are experiencing grief/loss, addictions and other mental health issues
Working within a multi-disciplinary team
Complete required paper work, risk assessment, safety plan and case notes.
Complete child welfare investigations within communities that are in the assigned are ( Fort Severn, Big Trout Lake, Wapekeka, Sachigo, Bearskin lake and Muskrat Dam)
Duties include speaking with individuals involved in the investigation to collect collateral information ( police, nursing stations and Chief and council)
Complete required documentation
Work with individuals that are experiencing their first episode of Psychosis
Responsibilities include case management, development of groups, accommodations for individuals returning to school or work, processing intakes and documentation
Work within a multidisciplinary team
