Kari Madera

I am seeking a teaching position at Yuba River Charter School, bringing over 14 years of experience as a 1st through 8th-grade classroom teacher at Blue Oak Charter School, a Waldorf-methods charter school. I earned my teaching credential through Fresno State’s Cal State Teach program while gaining hands-on experience in a Waldorf Kindergarten.

To deepen my expertise, I completed three summers and two years of Waldorf teacher training at Rudolf Steiner College, earning my Waldorf teaching certificate. Additionally, I hold a master’s degree in Waldorf Education, with my capstone focusing on Ruckschau meditation as a tool for teachers to strengthen their relationships with students.

Over the past five years, I have actively participated in inner work training and workshops, further enriching my understanding of Waldorf education and Anthroposophy. I also hold a Waldorf Mentoring Certificate from The Center for Anthroposophy and currently mentor a new teacher at Blue Oak Charter School. Furthermore, I have served as the Pedagogical Chair at Blue Oak, contributing to the school's educational leadership and development.
