Summary

Driven and compassionate, excelled for over 5 years as an Adoption Counsellor at Winnipeg Humane Society, where I matched animals with adopters and led training sessions. Known for exceptional communication and organizational skills, I also mastered database management and thrived in fast-paced environments, demonstrating a profound commitment to animal welfare and team collaboration.

As an Adoption Counsellor I leveraged training and front line experience to match pets with ideal homes, and lead team initiatives. Proficient in database management and adept at handling high-volume workloads, significantly contributed to enhancing animal welfare and operational efficiency.

Since my time with the WHS I have stayed actively involved with supporting the shelter through volunteering (Holiday booths at malls, walk-a-thons, pictures with Santa, and financial donations/adoptions of animals.)

On a personal development level, I have recently taken the Animal First Aid certification course, as well as have worked with St John's Ambulance getting my own dog registered as a therapy dog for volunteering with the elderly, with the CMHA and within elementary schools.

I continue to want to stay actively engaged and to contribute to the wellness and care of animals in need in our community and saw this posting as the perfect opportunity to apply my experience, skills and passion of working with animals.

Although currently working full time, I have evenings (after 6) and weekends free and am seeking casual/part time employment as an animal care attendant.
