I have been a gymnast at the Brooks Gymnastics Club since the age of 3, and have competed at the competitive level for most of my time there. I have made the Zone 1 team for Alberta Winter Games twice. I am also a Track and Field athlete who has trained and competed at a national level. Through track I have accomplished making team Alberta for Westerns. Unfortunately I have had to put my athletic goals on hold, and have been coaching gymnastics for the last two year's during my recovery.
At Brooks Gymnastics Club, I have taught kids from ages 4-14, at summer camps as well as competitive training. During summer camps I will provide safe and age appropriate activities that will help develop the children's motor skills, as well as a craft time to develop their fine motor skills. While coaching competitively, I make daily lesson plans to help my athletes achieve success and work towards their potential. Creating an encouraging, supportive environment while giving positive feed back and instructions to further their success. I've created a trust worthy and personal relationship with all my athletes on a personal and professional level, while maintaining respect for one another.
Providing children with a nurturing environment while keeping children safe and supporting the children's social and emotional growth. Planned organized and fun engaging activities. Provided children with basic needs, whilst maintaining a clean environment for them.
