As a Floor Supervisor, my primary responsibility is to ensure the daily goals set for the day and week were met. Monitoring KPIs as well as tending to the associates and customers needs is a large part of that, and something I excelled at especially during busy weekend and holiday peak seasons. Departments of responsibility are also rotated between members of management, so I have had opportunities to be in charge of stock, customer experience, store operations, and most recently brand. Working for the company for four years across four different locations, I've had incredibly valuable experiences in leadership and retail management.
Senior Associate
It's A Wrap!
Burbank, CA
04.2025 - 08.2025
The primary responsibilities of my position revolved around the accessories (shoes, belts, hats, etc.) in the store. I priced accessories as they were received from the production studios. After pricing, I tagged the items and coordinated a way to display them; the displays must be as full as possible while also being eye-catching and shoppable for the customer. When accessory inventory was low, my focus became detailing areas of the store assigned to me as well as assisting customers as needed.
Bookseller
Barnes & Noble
Los Angeles, CA
10.2022 - 01.2023
While my time with the company was short, my experiences fostered my ability to work more independently in the workplace. I was given a set of goals to complete each day, only checking in with management at the beginning and end of my shifts; these goals would be related to task like putting out inventory, collecting book donations, and selling memberships to customers. While working toward said goals, I would also assist customers by locating books in the store, placing orders for books, and placing inventory requests in order to meet customer demand. As an avid reader, I was able to take from my personal knowledge to meet, and exceed customers' needs.
