Work History

General Foreman

SDV Services INC
Alameda
03.2018 - Current
  • I have been running jobs as a foreman and general foreman for this company for almost 8 years now, doing parking garages all over the Bay Area and at LAX for a year on that parking garage, stairs, outer facade panel jobs on buildings, structural steel jobs. My most recent project was at SFPUC Biosolids, where I was in charge of the project setting pick lists taking deliveries of steel offloading setting up welding inspections helping write RFIs and rigging, metal buildings, and welding. I have also done multiple rigging jobs working with Hatton, Maxim, Summit, and Biggie. I am also skilled in layout and print reading for multiple aspects of our work. Dealing with the office meetings with the general contractor, conducting RFIs meetings, setting times with the welding inspector, managing schedules and shipping, planning out the workload, and ensuring the crew/crews are good with the job.

Ironworker Apprentice/Journeyman Ironworker

Schuff Steel
Palo Alto
06.2017 - 06.2018
  • I was an ironworker apprentice at the Facebook job, assisting the welders in setting up floats and angel wings, having points ready for the welders once they were ready to move. I welded washers and some secondary steel, rigged, made bolts, and did bolt-ups, helped plumb up, and ran safety cables, whatever was needed of me after Facebook went to two of the Stanford jobs, hooked on, and helped connect some iron, along with anything else needed. An apprentice welding foreman gave me prints to ensure that I and the other apprentices had the welders set up in advance to keep up production.

Ironworker Apprentice

Enclos
San Francisco
07.2013 - 05.2016
  • As an apprentice, I started at the Caldecott Tunnel fourth bore project, doing layout and hanging panels. After that, I moved on to SF General Hospital, where I hung panels and worked with a journeyman, doing layout with a total station. Went on to Mare Island, where we were building the panels for the SF MOMA project, and also the panels and dual curtain wall systems for Stanford Hospital, where I had my own crew. I was the lead guy in charge of logistics and making sure QC was done, along with ensuring the crew got what we needed to get done in a timely and safe manner. From there, I went out to New Stanford Hospital to help hang the curtain wall systems, be the rigger, and the phone guy, along with doing layout.
