Basic operator responsibilities include; operating and monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues with equipment, following safety rules and regulations, supporting general maintenance on equipment, quality control of unit products, logging data, starting and shutting down equipment and reporting any problems or issues with equipment to supervision. Maintaining equipment correctly ensures maximum safety for all personnel, the equipment itself, the community and the environment. Communicate any issues with supervision.

CONTROL BOARD OPERATOR

Basic CBO responsibilities include; operating and monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues with equipment, and clearly communicating issues with outside operators. Maintaining quality control of product by manipulating temperatures, pressures, flows and levels. Keeping products and equipment within established limits and guidelines will ensure a safe working atmosphere for all.

TURNAROUND LEAD

Basic turnaround lead, or lead operator responsibilities include; showing a good example, especially for newer operators. Taking the time to show a fellow operator a safer way to accomplish certain tasks may prevent somebody from injuring themselves or others around them. Also, delegating tasks to fellow operators so they are completed in a timely manner and the workload is not all on one or two people. Clear instructions and communication are important to ensure every person’s safety.
