  • Basic Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and data wrangling which will help to identify patterns, trends, and outliers were performed on data
  • Data preprocessing such as data cleaning, identifying null values and imputing into null values or deleting it.
  • Performing Visualizations on data using matplotlib.
  • Correlation between features were created using heatmap.
  • Data are prepared for modelling where target variable and independent variables are identified.
  • SMOTE (synthetic minority oversampling Technique) for oversampling minority class.
  • Different Machine Models such as Logistics Regression model, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classification model, Decision tree and Random Forest Classifier.
  • Based on different ML models used for this project, deduction was made that Random Forest classifier had better accuracy 99.67%, performed better in terms of Harmonic mean, determine better instances for Fraud than other models (logistics, Tress classification, KNN).
