I am a UKCP registered trainee child and adolescent psychotherapist with over 100 supervised placement hours. Currently, I am studying an MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counseling at Terapia, which is focused on developing skills to become a relational practitioner with an integrative approach that draws from developmental, humanistic and neuroscience modalities. I am specialised in the use of art mediums in my practice alongside other exploratory means, such as music, sandtray and play. My calm, friendly approach with clients sees that I maintain a healthy balance of authenticity and professionalism in my practice which helps build trust in my therapeutic alliances. Furthermore, I pride myself in prioritising the needs of my clients and endeavour to best serve their interests within the framework UKCP’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

With over 13 years as a qualified teacher in the education sector, I have extensive experience working with primary school children in state schools. My teaching background also includes work in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) schools, broadening my expertise to include working effectively with teenagers; Recently, I held the position of class teacher at a trauma school within the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust for a class of 12-14 year olds with complex needs.

Adjacent to my studies I have a keen interest in the link between biochemistry and psychology, a curiosity driven by witnessing the effects of Dementia and Alzheimer’s on people close to me. As a result, I am member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine and have attended their ‘Brain Health’ CPD which has added depth to my understanding of mental health. To further my interest, I hope to study a course in biomedicine after completion of my current MA so that my awareness of my clients holistic needs is expanded.
