Taught all subjects and collaborated with mentor teacher for enrichment activities. Designed lessons and evaluated student performance. Taught whole group and small group lessons. Implemented classroom management strategies to increase student engagement.

Taught ELA, math and social studies in a 2nd grade class. Differentiated instruction for EL students as well as taught ELD specific lessons. Designed engaging lessons with developmentally appropriate activities.

Literacy intervention with small group instruction. Taught students K-5. Supervised recess and lunch. Collaborated with instruction coaches and assistant vice principal for student success and safety.

In this position I helped students with their homework as well as created multiple projects for educational enrichment. This job took place in an after school program so there was also need for supervision on the playground. I oftentimes served as a role model for the students by teaching appropriate decision-making and behavior skills.
