Since I moved to Canada in 2022, I have been working as an online self-employed clinical psychologist with patients and different organizations as an advisor in psychosocial projects with vulnerable population in Colombia.

Since I arrived in the country, I have involved myself in different psychosocial projects with the Latin community as a volunteer and as now I am the project coordinator in Latispanica. Also, I have participated in other activities with the YMCA and as independent volunteer supporting homeless population.

It is important to mention that despite my professional development I had not have the fortune to be involved in an English-speaking country or context before I moved to Canada. For that reason, during this time have I been focusing in learning the language in different context. I have worked in different companies where I have had the opportunity to learn about the culture, work environment and language and as for now I am enrolled in an English academy in level A2.

I recognize that communications barriers can entitled limitations however I am highly motivated, and progress focused, I have a long-standing background in the social field. I have initiative, autonomy, and responsibility. Through the course of my career as a Psychologist, I have mainly focused intervention with vulnerable population and marginalized individuals. I have expertise in social-community based intervention from an inclusive and comprehensive approach based on the culture and context and interaction of everyone. I am a professional with a strong interpersonal skill that allows favorable work relations, meditation, and teamwork. I am committed to my workplace, the assign tasks, and achieving the objectives set. I am progressive open minded, and I have proven to be effective and collaborative with strong leadership skills. I enjoy collective brainstorming session which allows me to coordinate activated to achieve a common goal.
