Currently working as a residential support worker in a group home that houses teenage clients with a variety of intellectual and mental health disorders. Assists at other group homes that house adult clients with intellectual and mental health disorders, some of whom are non-verbal and need assistance with toileting.
Current voluntary work consists of being a caregiver to two family members who have intellectual and mental health disabilities. Caregiving tasks and activities done for said family members includes arranging medical appointments, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, transportation, and bathing.
Previously worked as a peer mentor for an alternative schooling program for grade 12 students. Students in this program required extra assistance with finishing high school, some of which would have had great difficulty completed their schooling without the assistance of alternative schooling and its related resources.
