Driven by a passion for environmental sustainability and ecological restoration, I am eager to apply my academic knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. I have completed numerous labs and projects using ArcGIS and iNaturalist data, refining my ability to analyze spatial data and assess environmental conditions. My experience in community restoration projects, such as weed pulls and clean-ups, has enhanced my understanding of ecosystem health and the importance of teamwork. With a strong foundation in native plant species and invasive species management, I am committed to contributing to habitat improvements and species conservation. As a quick and eager learner, I am excited to leverage my skills in ArcGIS and field data collection to support impactful restoration projects that promote biodiversity and long-term ecosystem health.
I am driven to finish what I start, valuing long-term projects where I can see the tangible results of my efforts. My volunteering at the Legion over the past 4 years reflects this commitment, as I help nurture a community that will benefit future generations. I have volunteered extensively, assisting in roles like preparing Friday night meals, serving as a bartender, and creating social media content to attract new visitors. By fostering a welcoming environment and engaging younger generations, I have helped strengthen community bonds. I also contribute to event planning, such as fundraisers and band nights, and proudly coordinated my own poppy route during the annual remembrance campaign. My efforts are driven by a vision of building lasting impact, and my contributions have been recognized with two Volunteer Appreciation Awards from the Legion.
