  • Organizes and maintains a student study team composed of the classroom teacher(s), parents, and specialist(s) to address students’ learning and/or behavioral needs.
  • Assumes the responsibility for a school atmosphere conducive to building the self-esteem of each student and staff member.
  • Participates in developing 504 Plans and Individual Education Programs (IEPs).

Personnel Administration:

  • Participates in screening, interviewing, and selecting all certificated and classified employees at the school site with special attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Visits classrooms and work site regularly with attention to improving the school.
  • Supervises, assists, and evaluates classified and certificated personnel.
  • Maintains required personnel records in a timely manner.
  • Administers and adheres to certificated and classified bargaining unit contracts.
  • Meets with all certificated personnel to establish goals for individual improvement.

Management:

  • Staffs school including teachers, classified staff, office staff, yard supervisors, and other staff reflecting all populations.
  • Builds a culture of trust that respects diverse opinions.
