- Parkview Children’s Centre, Burlington, ON, For my final placement at Sheridan College, I had the opportunity to work in the Preschool classroom at Parkview Children’s Centre, collaborating closely with my mentor, Marina Asaad (RECE #100831). During this experience, I supported children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based and inquiry-driven activities. I observed how children explore concepts of identity, belonging, and problem-solving through imaginative play. This placement deepened my understanding of intentional teaching, inclusive programming, and how to co-construct learning experiences aligned with How Does Learning Happen?
- Childventures Burlington, Burlington, ON, During my second placement, I worked in the Preschool room at Childventures Burlington under the mentorship of Carly Miller (RECE #65934). This placement gave me the opportunity to build trusting relationships with children and support their language, motor, and self-regulation development.
