• I assisted in developing and starting up a new 3-5 Daycare Program with BGCO @ AME.
• My role involves creating an environment and a program that is stimulating, engaging and developmentally appropriate. This includes providing experiences and learning opportunities in all areas of development incorporating stories, songs, games, arts/crafts, indoor and outdoor play.

• As a Lead Preschool Teacher, I was responsible for developing and working directly with children age 3-5 in a theme based program involving songs, stories, games, arts/crafts, learning centers, science/outdoor experiences, field trips, monthly newsletters, parent/teacher interviews.
• As the Supervisor of the downstairs programs, I was familiar, and in compliance with Licensing Standards. I was responsible for ensuring all Childcare Licensing Regulations were met for our downstairs preschool programs (80 spaces). I was also responsible for supervising, and working directly and effectively with staff, families, community members, and mentoring/supervising ECE students.

• As the centres Manager, I was familiar with, and in compliance with Licensing Standards
• Responsible for ensuring all Childcare Licensing Regulations were met for Group Infant / Toddler Daycare (24 spaces)
• Responsible for program planning, menu planning, supervising and working effectively with staff, working with families and children, connecting with the community and mentoring students
• Provide leadership in keeping with the Primary Care giving philosophy, completing daily records, observations, goal setting and ASQ’s on the children in our program.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Submitting monthly Childcare Subsidy Claim Forms, assisting parents with completing subsidy application and renewal forms
• Submitting monthly on-line, Child Care Operating Grant Funding form
• Assist with monthly board reports, newsletters, and staff meetings
• Conducting interviews and orientation for new employees
• Responsible for staff supervision, scheduling, and yearly performance reviews
• Ensure the program operates within budget for food and programming expenses

• I was responsible for the overall supervision of the centre and staff
• I effectively performed various duties such as enrolling children into the program, supervising staff, cash flow projection sheets as well as dealing positively with the parents and children in the program.
