  • Responsible for directing and coordinating services to achieve planned goals from rig move to rig release through effective pre-planning with the operators representative.
  • Complete end of well reports and identify and evaluate learnings and implement them going forward.
  • Drilled a variety of different well plans including verticals, S-bends, build and holds, as well as medium and long reach laterals (6000m+).
  • Specific areas and formations drilled were the Wilrich and Fahler formations (2850m TVD) and Montney formation in Resthaven/Kakwa field in Alberta (3200m TVD) as well as the Montney formation in the Attachie field in NE British Columbia. As well, disposal wells with in excess if 4200 TVD on various plant sites.
  • Experience drilling with managed pressure systems in the Kakwa field in drilling both the Wilrich and Fahler formations.
  • Experience with working tight hole, gas influxes, trip gas, ballooning, fracture breathing, coal seams and reacted with good drilling practices to minimize NPT time.
  • Ensured procedures were technically valid and applicable to specific well conditions, as well as monitored and evaluated well conditions at all times.
  • Committed to working safely at all times, while always following industry safety standards, corporate safety values, managing risks, and practicing due diligence. Ensured that expected timelines were met as well as improved upon by using data analytics to constantly optimize operations and control costs.
  • Managed and worked well with all operators to coordinate and implement new technologies and advancements to control costs and increase production with new automation.
  • Completed daily tour reports including detailed descriptions of drilling time, tripping time, mud properties, pipe tallies, casing tallies, cementing calculations and details.

  • Familiar with WorkSafe BC regulations and OH & S regulations to ensure compliance at the worksite.

  • Experience in drilling with managed pressure systems and calculating pumping schedules to ensure proper well control.
