I am a driven and successful individual with 20 years of experience in pre-hospital patient care, including two years as an EMT-Basic and almost 19 years as a paramedic. The past three years of my career have included critical care interfacility patient transports by ground, extensive critical care training to obtain my Flight Paramedic certification, and 8 months of experience in critical care air transport. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience that has cultivated a strong, disciplined approach to comprehensive and compassionate care of patients in a variety of situations and environments. I have experience as a training officer, as an educator/preceptor for local paramedic and EMT programs, and as a shift supervisor. I currently operate as a critical care clinician for Liberty Ambulance/Ridgecrest Regional Hospital as a flight paramedic on both ground and air transport vehicles. I work well on a team and during stressful situations. I am extremely compassionate with my patients, and I understand the need for compassion and delivering assurance to their families and loved ones. I have recently been accepted in the Registered Nursing program with Bakersfield College, and I have aspirations of eventually obtaining credentials as a flight nurse and further degrees (bachelor's and master's) in the field of nursing.
