Reading, Traveling, Cooking, Camping, Socializing

I have been an avid reader from childhood. I enjoy all books, thriller and suspense are my favorite. I try to travel every year and am hoping to make it to all the continents.

My favorite place to travel to is the Caribbean where I own a Time Share in St. Lucia, and I have visited many of the other islands. After the civil war in Croatia, I drove over 9,000 km in 6 weeks reconnecting with family and touring Europe. Cruising is a passion, the Alaska cruise was my favorite, as was the Mediterranean and multiple cruises to the Caribbean.

Cooking is a big part of my heritage (Croatian). Our traditional foods are a must at every celebration and in daily life. I am teaching my granddaughter all the recipes. I enjoy the challenge of cooking meals from other counties and experimenting with new techniques.

As a child my parents were avid campers, and this has carried over to adulthood. My husband and I have camped with our children and grand children over the past 40 years. Last year we purchased a new Travel Trail to enjoy longer trips.

Socializing is very important to me. Family gatherings, concerts, soccer fames, people in campgrounds and sitting next to someone on a plan. I form connections quickly and put people at ease.

Volunteering helps me give back to the world. Some of the volunteer work I have done. Ranthe United Way campaign at work, Fund Raising for the Croatian Relief Foundation, Teaching to Kindergarten classes in St Lucia, and helping build a school in Uganda by teaching English Conversation to School children and adults in Russia and other countries.

What's next?

The ideal position for me is remote work due to some physical limitations. In 2009 I was in a serious car accident that sent me into a tail spin to the point where I was not able to work. With determination, Physical Therapy, Cognitive Behaviorial Training and other treatments I am ready for a challenge to put my talents to use. I can attend a physical work location on occasion as needed for short periods of time.
