Work History

Researcher and Teaching Assistant

Carleton University
09.2021 - 04.2023
  • Conducted research on energy management of battery-ultracapacitor hybrid energy storage system for electric vehicles
  • Focused mainly on the characterization and performance of the battery
  • Used C-programming language to develop a particle-swarm optimized fuzzy logic energy management algorithm for energy management of the hybrid system in MATLAB environment
  • Considered degradation minimization of the lithium-ion battery in the energy management algorithm
  • Studied and applied lithium-ion battery key characteristics such as state of charge, state of health and impact of charge rate (C-rate), temperature, depth of discharge (DoD) as well as capacity, impedance and power performance indices in my research
  • Tested the algorithm (particle-swarm optimized fuzzy logic) on General Motor EV1 embedded within ADVISOR (Advanced Vehicle Simulator)
  • Collected, analyzed, and presented my findings to the defense community
  • Investigated and analyzed a real CAN network on a prototype vehicle and made diagnosis
  • Configure a real-life project with VECTOR CANoe, Vector CANalyzer
  • Assisted in teaching undergraduate electrical engineering courses: circuits and signals, electrical engineering
  • Conducted tutorials and laboratory sessions for undergraduate students in electrical engineering
  • Graded assignments, examinations and provided feedback to students.

Ericsson
02.2021 - 08.2021
  • Managed end-to-end operations for Ericsson’s subcontractors, overseeing various aspects such as
  • LTE and 5G network roll-out, overhaul of cell-towers, tools, trainings, and processes for major telecom projects within Middle East and Africa Market Area (MMEA)
  • Multi-account project management (MTN Nigeria, MTN Ghana, Unitel Angola, Orange and
  • Airtel Gabon)
  • Quality assurance: Ensured that all works performed by Vendors/subcontractors adheres to
  • Ericsson’s quality and safety standards, as well as industry regulations and best practices
  • Risk management: Identified potential risks associated with Vendor/Subcontractor activities and implemented measures to mitigate those risks such as safety, compliance
  • Relationship management: Built and maintained positive working relationships with
  • Vendors/Subcontractors, fostered open communication, addressed concerns and resolved conflicts in a timely manner
  • Participated in vendors evaluations and negotiations for new projects
  • Developed and presented reports on subcontractor’s service performance to top management.

3. Electrical Engineer Graduate Intern

Benin Electricity Distribution Company
08.2020 - 01.2021
  • Enumerated customers for proper load shedding, metering
  • Disconnected and reconnected customers
  • Delivered bill to customers using the company’s designed app
  • Cleared fault and restore power to customers.
