Behaviour Technician/Support Worker
- Assisting Program Supervisor in maintaining client files.
- Working with Clinical Management team to support client intakes, transitions, and discharges from programs.
- Taking leadership in implementing programs recommended by Clinical team.
- Monitoring and overseeing data collection and tracking.
- Providing coaching to fellow team members and help them develop appropriate skills to achieve successful outcome with clients.
- Maintaining client's visual schedules, creating social stories as needed, updating PECS and ensuring team consistency in application.
- Communicate with Clinical Manager and Program Supervisor to ensure that behaviour support plans are fully implemented and updated regularly.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Building positive working relationships with the client, family, community members, and other professionals involved in the care team.
- Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting appropriate boundaries.
- Engaging in frequent interaction with clients, using appropriate means of communication.
- Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities.
- Attending school meetings and case conferences when required.
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication, and assisting clients with personal care as needed.
- Promoted positive interactions with children with ADHD, Autism, and oppositional defiance behavior by using visual supports, simplifying communication, and utilizing stress scales to turn emotions into concrete concepts
