SAMPE - Natural Fibers Team Member

  • Developed prototype beams utilizing components classified as natural fibers
  • Tested the structural integrity and durability of our prototypes
  • Modified elements to produce the most robust and lightweight beam achievable
  • Our competition beam is set to be tested and evaluated during the annual Student Bridge Contest hosted by the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE)

  • Developed and designed an original lightweight, mobile “Cooling Cart” tailored for use in agricultural, construction, and warehouse settings for the PLTW capstone project
  • Fabricated and built a final prototype of the “Cooling Cart” from start to finish
  • Performed detailed testing on the prototype, altering applications as appropriate before the final presentation

  • Students for Veterans - Club President/Founder October 2021 – May 2024
  • Planned, managed, and executed club meetings while liaising with all members and staff
  • Partnered with a local non-profit organization, Help Heal Veterans, which designs and manufactures therapeutic craft kits for veterans who are hospitalized, homebound, or in recovery
  • Coordinated club events - bake sales, Christmas letter writing campaign for veterans, and the collection of craft materials for the Help Heal Veterans organization
  • Under my leadership, the club funded over 3,500 craft kits produced by Help Heal Veterans
  • ASB President July 2023 – May 2024
  • Coordinated and planned all ASB events and activities in collaboration with the ASB director, including assemblies, school dances, and class meetings
  • Assisted the ASB director in facilitating meetings and publicizing all ASB events
