Summary

Driven by the goal to push my own limits I have used strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to fulfill my role as a Research Assistant in the creation of an interactive ArcGIS map for an SSHRC grant project on Black activism in Canada. Motivated to put my name on my university's map I have pushed my limits on team work and taken leadership roles within the group in order to expand the original idea of the project and make it bigger and far more impactful than it was originally thought to be.

Creative Writing, Reading, Watching Documentaries

I write poetry and have been since I was about 13 or 14. By now I have accumulated a considerable collection of poems but with every day that passes my style continues to evolve and get better, it has taught me much about myself and serves as a reflection of questions that come to me as I find my way through the world, often the answers are found in what I subconsciously write on the paper. Writing is a passion of mine and I hope to be able to show the world my work one day, making big changes to the way we act, and the ways we think. Reading is a hobby I love although struggle with, it has taught me to be disciplined, and to remain committed to journeys I begin no matter how clustered life gets. I enjoy reading works of fiction, philosophy and historical pieces as well. Watching documentaries is a hobby of mine as I find it interesting to stay up to date with the world and all that happens on it, it is a constant reminder of how big the world is and that we are all part of a much bigger network of causes and effects, I also thrive in the collection of information, I find it fulfilling and somewhat of a passion.
