After I finally got my surgery for my knee I got this job as a cashier and stocker at this liquor store I was just planning on staying here till my knee got better but I ended up loving it here. I get to interact a lot with customers not just customers but the citizens of this beautiful town of Escondido I meet so many people every day and learn a lot from each and every one of them. El Norte Liquor store has been there for more then 20 years and a lot of their customers have been going there since childhood and now have their own kids who they take to this location and tell them stories of how nice the owners are and even hug the owners if they're present this business is not just a business it's a home to a lot of the people of Escondido.
I came to this small family business after I left panda I was offered a great amount of money and very long hours with over time i would train anyone who started and tried to make them better and show them that they can do the job. I did everything in this restaurant from sushi, stir fry dishes to ramen from scratch I lasted so long in this business till I had a really bad knee injury that made me quit here.
I started as a cook helper and cashier to being promoted to the main chef after long training and helping everyone that need my help as I am a great team leader and showed the corporation I was capable of doing hard task even in under stressfull situations. It was really fun to work for Panda and I would not mind going back.
I worked here for 4 years when it was still opened in 4s Ranch, I would be sent from one location to another as I would train new people and was a promoted into a shift leader after 6 months. This is the first restaurant I learned how it was to be a fast food restaurant cook it was not easy but I learned a lot and had lots of fun. The reason I left was that I was offered more pay, hours, and benefits at the other job.
