These certifications and recognitions have solidified my role in contributing to the development and training of both new and seasoned personnel within the department.
In my current capacity, I support the BCOA programs across various domains, including Watch Office, Range Operations, Tactical Training, Scheduling, Curriculum Development, Academy Programs, and In-Service Training. As an instructor, I lead both classroom and field-based sessions on topics aligned with departmental policies, procedures, directives, and other training requirements.
Additionally, I oversee the evaluation of cadet performance, monitoring their progress in real-time during multi-instructor classroom sessions and field exercises. I assess and grade class assignments while also addressing any performance issues, ensuring cadets adhere to BCOA rules, regulations, and discipline standards.
In my role as Correctional Sergeant, I provide supervision during all unusual occurrences, incidents, or emergencies within my area of responsibility, ensuring the safety and order of operations. I also conduct regular security checks, living quarter inspections, and maintain discipline within the BCOA, including overseeing meal coverage for cadets. Cultivated and maintained climate of mutual respect with freedom from harassment and intimidation, to provide safe environment for staff and offenders.
