
Bilingual (English and Spanish) Computer Information Systems student with experience supporting students through EOPS/CARE, NextUp, Guardian Scholars, and Foster & Kinship Care Education (FKCE) programs at Los Angeles City College. Skilled in front desk operations, appointment scheduling, outreach, phone communication, record keeping, and student support services. Experienced in assisting diverse student populations, connecting students with campus resources, and providing administrative support. Transferring to California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) in Fall 2026 and interested in educational technology, student services, and community engagement. Available to work up to 20 hours per week during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Welcome former foster youth students and provide a supportive and welcoming environment. Answer phone calls, assist students with program information, schedule and remind students of upcoming counseling appointments, and connect them to available campus and community resources. Offer front desk support, assist with computers and printing, conduct outreach and follow-up calls, provide referrals, and help students access the benefits and opportunities available through the Guardian Scholars Program to support their academic success.
Welcome and assist current and former foster youth students by providing program information, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and conducting outreach and reminder calls. Ensure students remain in good standing with the program by scheduling counseling appointments, monitoring required contacts and workshop participation, and connecting students with available resources. Assist students in accessing program benefits, including book vouchers, meal vouchers, and parking permits. Provide front desk support, referrals, computer and printing assistance, and help students navigate campus services while promoting academic success and student engagement.
Create and distribute certificates using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Outlook for caregivers who successfully complete training classes. Answer phone calls and assist caregivers with certificate requests, class registration, and program information. Maintain and update participant records to ensure accurate contact information. Conduct outreach calls, email communications, and class reminders to inform caregivers of upcoming training opportunities and registration deadlines. Assist caregivers with class enrollment and ensure they receive credit for completed courses. Provide administrative support and help participants access educational resources and services offered through the Foster & Kinship Care Education (FKCE) program.
