Responsible for building positive relationships with students and families involved in the program. As well as developing working relationships with school staff. As a team, we work closely with the students and identify challenges. I would monitor students' progress, advocate, and offer counseling support to the students.

Main responsibility was providing support to individuals who have left the criminal street lifestyle and to those that face major socio-economic and health challenges, systemic racisms, and addictions. Had the opportunity to work with incarcerated youth and adults, facilitate presentations in the community, and work alongside an outreach team as a team leader providing training and advice to other outreach workers. Culture was an important aspect in STR8 UP as majority of individuals were indigenous. Ceremonies, indigenous teachings, and community events were regularly attended.
