Directional Drill

• Operate the Drill rig efficiently to facilitate instillation of pipe & conduit for fibre optic cable.
• inspect & maintain equipment regularly including preventative maintenance on all aspects of the fleet being used.
• Implement all directional drilling plans and procedures according to company plan and oversee all drilling operations of rig site and ensure compliance to all drilling objectives
• Ensure safety in work areas at all times according to required standards and provide assistance and training to all drilling trainees, supervise efficient working of all processes
• Ensure effective use of time, materials, fuel & equipment.

Heavy Civil

• Operate CAT 315, CAT 320, CAT 349D excavators in a safe and efficient manner
• Preform daily safety & maintenance checks on the excavator & report any issues to supervisor
• Dig trenches, excavate and move materials, debris and other objects around site
• Ensure accuracy and precision in digging and excavating to avoid damage to underground utilities and structures
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure the excavation work meets the required standards
• Coordinate with other workers on the job site to ensure safety & efficiency
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and protocols

• Operated auxiliary equipment (stove system), oil/oxygen systems, gas cleaning systems, charging systems and inspection of water systems
• In charge of cast house functions such as preparing for cast, ensuring troughs and runners are dry; operating tap hole drill and burning out hole with O2 lances, sending samples to lab for testing
• Charged correct materials into the furnace in proper sequences; prepared and maintained skimmer, dam section and pump
• Performed desulphurization functions to hot metal maintaining levels required for Steelmaking; directed the pouring of molten iron from torpedo car to molds and perform general housekeeping within the area
• Daily operation of Mini and 8 Ton excavators, Skid steer, KT Grant & Forklift in very tight, meticulous positions around the furnace during and between cast
• Responded in emergency situations quickly and efficiently while operating the above listed machinery

• Operated hoisting equipment control panels monitor the progress of operations and supervise the onsite service crew and all operations of the rig
• Executed assigned tasks, safely efficiently and within the parameters of company policies
• Assigned crew members to tasks related to the circulation system such as preparing and drilling of surface holes, running casing/cement, head ups and pressure tests, tripping of pipes, shutdowns and rigouts
• Preventative maintenance and general repairs to the rig and equipment
• Manage all well bore path and perform survey to compute and monitor the rate of penetration and maintain an efficient list of all directional tools and perform survey on all equipment
• Execute all survey information for processes and ensure all objectives compatibility with various results
• Administer all directional operations and analyze performance of all drilling procedures, assist all client representatives to resolve all issues and monitor job progress while maintaining records of data, and prepare required documentation

• Operated the tongs and slips to connect and disconnect drill pipe tubulars, casing and drill bits
• Responsible for the set up and take down of the drilling rig and corresponding equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Performed housekeeping activities on the rig floor including washing, chipping and painting
• Worked effectively as part of a team to ensure quality and productivity
• Participates in the erection and dismantling of the rig
• Assures the integrity of the rig derrick structure, valve position, hoisting systems, circulating systems and other rig components
• Drillers right hand man to assist in all rig operations
• Working the stick when tripping pipe, involving the stabbing and standing of said tubulars in or out of the well
