Summary

I have called Deltaport home for the last 12 years and I am excited for this opportunity to join the Electrical Foreman team. In my time at Deltaport, I have seen it all. I consider myself a diligent, professional and meticulous maintenance electrician with comprehensive experience maintaining, troubleshooting and installing electrical equipment on RTG's, CRMG's and the DSGC's. I have an intimate knowledge of the Deltaport site facilities, pods, substation, buildings and yard lighting. I have been present for all the vast developments over the last decade. I have been involved in the restructure of the Deltaport Railyard from 7 RMG's to the automated railyard we know today with 8 CRMG's. I was also in on the ground floor with commissioning DSGC's 11 and 12. Furthermore, I was apart of Deltaport's KONE RTG 30 series inaugural rollout. I have worked on the waterfront as an Electrician since 2011 gaining heavy industrial experience at Westshore Terminals, Vanterm, Fraser Surrey Docks, Neptune Terminals, Fibreco and Pacific Coast Terminals. I have worked at Deltaport as an Electrician since 2011. Starting out from the hall and getting hired as a Regular Workforce Electrician in 2015. In my 8 years as a Regular, I have been a Shop Steward for the last 5 of them. As a Steward, I have had a healthy and mutually productive relationship with both the 514 Foreman and Deltaport Maintenance Managers. My duties as a Steward involved conflict resolution, healthy communication with the 502 Hall, stressing safe work methods, scheduling workers and promoting a positive, inclusive and ultimately BEST work environment possible. I am also extremely passionate about safety. I am more than familiar with Deltaport Electrical Maintenance jobs to be performed, work procedures, a worker's responsibilities and foreman/management expectations. Being safety-conscious and committed to working safely is paramount to me. A job is important and important to do right but going home safely at the end of the day is of MOST importance. I feel I have excellent communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure. I can effectively perform in independent roles and in team settings. I have experience running crews and getting the best performance out of my team. In fact, I take pride in inspiring a team to work together and achieve a lofty goal... when a collaborative effort comes together, there's no greater feeling! I'm a resourceful candidate eager to utilize my technical, electrical and mechanical skills I have acquired primarily here at Deltaport as well as across my other terminals and jobsites. I am adept at identifying and solving problems with good understanding of electrical/mechanical systems, troubleshooting and repair. I have strong computer skills and am more than fluent in the waterfront's GE Cranes, ABB and Codesys Logic/PLC systems. I am flexible and adaptable with physical stamina to work in demanding environments and extended hours. I feel I'm tremendously organized and dependable. I am a candidate successful at managing multiple priorities all radiating from a positive place of encouragement and ultimately results. I have a willingness to take on added responsibilities to efficiently meet team goals as well. I am adept at working with High Voltage systems and troubleshooting while adhering to safety protocols. In regards to High Voltage, I have a longstanding and great working relationship with Pacific Powertech. I am also resourceful and committed to completing projects on time and within budget. I strongly feel I am reliable and committed to delivering the highest standard of safety and quality. I am very detail-oriented and somewhat of a perfectionist. As a worker, I very much enjoy including detailed drawings to paperwork for assisting the next crew in a speedy and stress-free job completion. It prides me to maintain an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of swiftness and accuracy. I am a hard worker and passionate about everything I do. At my age with my experience and eagerness, I am ready to help the GCT Deltaport team achieve our goals. If we put our minds to it, we can accomplish anything!
