With a lifelong commitment to Cathedral Lakes Lodge, a family-run business that I recently inherited, I have gained extensive experience in various roles. Starting at the age of 15, I have diligently worked in positions ranging from dishwashing and serving to housekeeping and shuttle driving, transporting guests up a challenging mountain road. Eventually, I had the opportunity to work in the kitchen and cook for over 60 people daily, with the help of one baker and a dishwasher. Seeking diverse employment opportunities during the winter months, I gained international experience in Australia and Mexico. Living part-time in Mexico for several years has broadened my cultural horizons and fueled my passion for culinary excellence. Exceptional cooking skills have been developed from my lifelong passion for quality food and growing up in the Slocan Valley with a huge garden. Additionally, summers spent at Cathedral Lakes Lodge since the age of 15 have exposed me to a multitude of talented chefs and diverse cooking styles.
