Elevating musical ensembles to new heights, Joao started his conducting journey at the age of 17 conducting bands in Portugal, Spain and Canada,
He graduated from the European Wind Band Conducting academy where he studied with Jan Cober, Javier Viceiro and André Granjo at the age of 19,
Currently he is residing in Canada where he is the director of Music of the Thorold Reed Band and Filarmonica Lira Bom Jesus.
Developed a high-performing band by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for musical growth.
