Accountable for the development of Splunk's new cloud platform experience, which includes new enterprise search and content management experiences. Manage a team of frontend engineers, including growing the team through hiring and career development. Partner with the product manager and dependency teams to develop quarterly product plans. Support the team throughout the product development lifecycle, including defining agile development and on-call processes, reviewing technical contributions, and addressing team collaboration challenges.

• Successfully grew a high-performing team from 2 to 10 engineers, organized in 2 pods of 5.
• Onboarded and supported 100 customers of the platform experience through 2 successful preview programs
• Led the platform experience to a successful GA, which included achieving a successful cloud compliance designation

Worked with stakeholders and teammates to ensure that technical requirements were implemented in accordance to development best practices, and were designed with performance, quality and cohesion to the system in mind. Implemented several large features for the Splunk Metrics Workspace application, including support for alerting and usage telemetry within the application. Provided mentorship to junior team members. Partnered closely with the product manager to deliver a quarterly product plan.

• Led the development of our enterprise Splunk Metrics Workspace application to a successful release on the Splunkbase app store, which has since been downloaded over 5000 times
• Played a key role in embedding the Splunk Metrics Workspace experience into the Splunk App for Infrastructure monitoring solution

Developed and maintained enterprise-class cloud analytics applications based SAPUI5/JQuery and SAP HANA technologies. Provided thought leadership and best practices to each phase of development, including proposal and implementation of best practices towards the product and development process. Active participant in the mentoring program to help mentor junior developers in the company.

Developed and maintained end-to-end SAP BI reporting solutions to give better visibility into internal program and product development efforts. Gathered and formalized product requirements into a prioritized product backlog. Managed risk and dependencies between development priorities. Coordinated development efforts using Agile SCRUM/Kanban methodologies. Facilitated communication between developers and stakeholders. Coached colleagues on Design Thinking principles through workshops and projects.

Provided thought leadership, guidance and execution of services for various SAP BusinessObjects products. Assisted in the customer on-site development and troubleshooting of client custom BusinessObjects SDK applications.

• Successfully guided several high-visibility projects and was awarded the Delivery Excellence award in the first year of this role.

Worked as a backend engineer to develop and enhance the SAP Business Objects OLAP data access component. Employed Agile SCRUM methodology to deliver robust projects amidst changing requirements. Participated in cross-site communications with team members and customers.

• Implemented a novel query windowing technique that improved large, multidimensional query performance from an average of 5 minutes to under 20 seconds
• Played a key role in implementing 64-bit compatibility for our C++ codebase across multiple operating systems (ex: HPUX, Linux, AIX).
