Summary

As a 30-year-old educator with a diverse range of experiences, I bring a unique blend of skills and perspectives to the classroom. With a diploma in acting for film and television, I understand the importance of engaging and interactive teaching methods, making learning an exciting journey for my students.

My Bachelor of Education and teaching certificate in the province of Alberta equip me with the necessary academic foundation and certification to excel as an educator. I am committed to teaching the Alberta curriculum and helping students reach their full potential.

What sets me apart is my passion for creating a thinking classroom. I believe in fostering an environment where students not only absorb information but also learn to think critically, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively. My background in acting has taught me the power of storytelling and creativity in education, making learning memorable and enjoyable.

Furthermore, my experiences in Crossfield, Lethbridge, Vancouver, and Edmonton, as well as my time working in the remote outback of Australia, have given me a rich tapestry of experiences and cultural insights to draw upon in the classroom. From cooking for large groups to laborious tasks, I've learned the value of hard work, adaptability, and teamwork, qualities I instill in my students.

My upbringing on a farm instilled in me a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and a deep appreciation for the environment, which I weave into my lessons to promote sustainability and environmental awareness.

My goal is to land a full-time teaching contract, where I can apply my innovative teaching methods, lesson planning expertise, and dedication to creating a thinking classroom to inspire and empower the next generation of learners. I am excited to embark on this journey and make a meaningful impact in the lives of my students.
