• I grew up in Sacramento, California, in a single-family home with 3 older brothers. I'm the youngest of 4 siblings. My parents have been married for 18 years and have been business owners in the hair and beauty industry for 27 years. Growing up and seeing their success has influenced me to be a hard worker and very ambitious.
  
  A challenge that I experienced this year involved a major assignment in my AP English class. I was rushing and did not take my time because I felt overconfident, which caused me to get a lower score than I should have or what I was expecting. Although feeling overconfident can be a good thing, this taught me the importance of patience when dealing with major assignments.
  
  I would like to participate in this internship to further my work experience and build a strong work ethic that can help me in my future employment endeavors. I would be a strong candidate because I follow instructions, I'm very hardworking, I follow instructions, and I work well with others. And will be a great asset if given the opportunity.
