  • I am currently assigned to the Criminal investigation Bureau within 14 Division
  • I manage and supervise my investigative team in a multitude of criminal investigations

Provincial Carjacking Task Force

  • During my tenure with the Toronto Hold Up Squad, I was temporarily transferred to the Provincial Carjacking Task Force
  • This joint task force was established to address the violent and high risk carjackings and home invasions that were occurring in the Greater Toronto Area
  • I was the Team Lead responsible for the day to day operational decisions for surveillance, warrant preparation and project management
  • I reviewed warrants and orders, operational plans and managed the surveillance team
  • Risk management was a large component to my day to day operations for not only internal compromise but also team risk management
  • I always maintained an awareness of the risk management issues
  • Enhanced community safety by conducting thorough investigations, leading to the arrest and prosecution of criminals.

Hold Up Squad

  • As a member of the Hold-Up Squad, I was the case manager and primary investigator on several multi-jurisdictional investigations and local investigations
  • I managed crime scenes, robbery series and long term investigations that required the use of numerous units throughout the Toronto Police Service and other agencies
  • I have developed relationships and maintained relationships within the Toronto Police Service, other partner agencies and the Ministry of Attorney General to come to a successful conclusion and conviction of violent offenders
  • I have drafter search warrants, production orders and orders for dangerous offender applications

Firearms Enforcement Unit

  • As a member of the firearms Enforcement Unit I acted as an affiant drafting numerous warrants and orders including Transmission Data Recorders, tracking warrants, general warrants and Part VI interception of communication warrants
  • I also acted as an undercover operator in several joint investigations with Toronto Police Service, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Homeland security
  • I acted as a surveillance officer on firearms trafficking investigations in multi-jurisdictional investigations
  • I acted as a project coordinator and case manager for agent based investigations, Part VI investigations and smaller local investigations
  • I worked in conjunction with the crowns for MAG and PPSC to bring investigations to a successful conclusion
  • I developed professional relationships throughout Canada and the United States as I acted as an investigator and project manager in the Firearms Enforcement Unit
  • I acted as the Team Lead in several investigations managing surveillance, warrant drafting and project management
  • During some of these investigations there was a potential for internal compromise and I was always mindful to the sensitive issues surrounding police misconduct

  • I testified at the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice and have been deemed a drug expert

  • During my tenure in 14 Division, I completed the training program and progressed to be an informal leader by working as a SOCO officer and coach officer
  • I worked in the 14 Division Vice office for two years where I was an undercover operator, a Confidential Source handler (level 1 and 2), an affiant for various types of warrants and orders, a surveillance officer and the Team Lead
