• Wartsila Corporation
• From concept to implementation, I developed new technology which allows ships to safely navigate restricted waterways providing an under-keel clearance of 3 centimeters. This patent pending technology was implemented successfully on a 1004' self-unloading bulk carrier on the St. Marys River. The Customer increased their operating draft of the vessel by 76 centimeters and was used over the course of many voyages throughout their season.
• Responsible for the Business Development of North Americas first fully Autonomous Technology in the commercial marine industry. This technology is being used successfully on a 700' self-unloading bulk carrier which operated on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland Ohio. The area of operations is one of the most challenging in North America and the technology was required to overcome winding narrow rivers, satellite interference due to bridge overpasses and recreational congestion. Wartsilas SmartMove Technology provides fully autonomous dock to dock operations from the mouth of Lake Erie to the Customers offloading facility 3.5 miles inland.
• Creation of a value proposition model for autonomous and advanced situational awareness technology in the marine industry. The payback analysis of the technologies encompass marine segment, vessel class, mission profiles and areas of operations. I also engaged Class, USCG and Insurance Underwriters for acceptance of the technology, which enhances safety of operations in the marine industry. Most of my marine Customers are adopting this technology as a must have.
• ConocoPhillips Canada
• Formally recognized by ConocoPhillips for outstanding contribution to Global HSE initiatives and promoting best marine practices which reflect their strong safety culture.
• I was recognized by ConocoPhillips Senior Management Team as a leader in mentoring other employees and assisting in and executing various marine projects in the Canadian Arctic.
• Developed the marine execution, disposal plans and scopes of work for the heavy-lift ship removal of 4 5,000 tonne concrete caissons from the Canadian Beaufort Sea to Asia
• Viewed by ConocoPhillips E&P Co-ventures as an industry leader and subject matter expert for marine operations and intermodal logistics in Canada and Alaska
• Mackenzie Gas Project
• Team Lead for supplying all the marine logistics information to the Mackenzie Gas Pipeline Team, led by Exxon Mobil, for the creation of a marine logistics simulator in regards to the transport of modules, pipe, camps and fuel from the Beaufort Sea and on the Mackenzie River. This involved putting together a small team of marine professionals for the identification of the staging areas, design of push-outs, number of barges and tugs, delivery windows, loading, discharge, percentage of materials being moved north on the Mackenzie River and South from the Beaufort Sea and the design of shallow draft tugs and barges to compliment the movement. The information supplied to the project was used to develop a logistics simulator which was vetted by a group of our most experienced Captains.
• Badami Project
• Working with BP Alaska, the Badami Project saw the construction, commissioning and marine transportation of seven oil field processing modules for the development of their Badami field in Alaska. I was project manager for the supply of 30 trades people and 120 labourers with the overall responsibility of fabricating and commission the modules prior to loading on ocean going barges.

• In a very competitive market and over a 5 year period, increased Company revenues by over 600% by implementing new business strategies tailored to the requirements of our non-core customer base.
