  • Metro Vancouver initiated the Stage 5 Phase 1 expansion project to increase the capacity of the plant additional 250,000 people, which they awarded to Graham and our joint venture partner.

  • The primary scope of work for the project was to complete concrete removal and replacement on approximately 60% of the spillway chute; this was broken down into 30 panels representing a section 45m high across the full width (30m) of the spillway.

  • The Burrard bridge involved joint rehabilitation including the replacement of 19 expansion joints across five vehicle lanes and three pedestrian sidewalks, and extensive and elaborate traffic management plans which involved maintaining traffic and pedestrian flow on the bridge deck during construction.

  • This project entailed structural steel work to extend the width of the bridge by way of widening the sidewalks from the existing 1.2m to 2.5m on each side
