I provide assistance to special education teachers mainly by helping students stay on task during class time, help regulate their emotions when intervention is needed. As well as supervision during times where special education students are in general education classes. I've also had multiple 1/1 cases with gen ed students who have abnormal behavioral issues due to trauma at home, so I am well versed in de-escalation techniques and I use them quite often.
